ANNUAL ICE CASTLE IN EAGLE RIVER, WISCONSIN
Here is the plan for the construction of this years Ice Castle with a schedule of what happens and what is needed.
Dec 26th - 10:00 am: scoring the ice on Silver lake 8-10 people about 6 hours.
Dec 27th - 8:30 am: 6-8 trucks and 12 people to harvest the ice and transport to the Depot area by Friendship House
Work until all ice is to the site - 2,000 plus blocks.
Dec 28th - 8:30 am: start shaving and laying out the design of this years castle.
Dec 29th to Jan 1: build and light this years castle.
Eagle Rivers annual ice castle construction has been a community tradition for nearly eighty years! Over 3,000 ten-inch ice blocks are cut from a local lake using antique ice equipment, trucked to town, and placed and sculpted into a breathtaking new design every year! Located on a major snowmobile trail through Eagle River, everyone stops to have their picture taken in front of the Ice Castle!

The 36th Annual Hodag Country Festival
July 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th, 2013Day after day, we've lined up some of the most talented country music artists & bands for your pleasure.
We also have fun with various artists in the Pavilion. The Pavilion is a large open building located to the east of the main stage, where you can buy official HCF T-shirts and other souvenirs like sweatshirts, jackets, and all sorts of things. The pavilion is also where alcoholic beverages are served.
